The Association of LGBT+ Pride in Education

The ALPE is open to all teachers and support staff working in schools, colleges, and universities across the UK.

Providing a private and anonymous portal, members are able to discuss issues and concerns with colleagues from other schools, secure in the knowledge that they cannot be identified.

The ALPE was founded in September 2019 by Rick Cowell, the founder and director of ANME Ltd - the Association of Network Managers in Education.
The ALPE will run alongside the ANME, with similar aims and values.

Bravo! There's no room in any polite society for such hated and small-mindedness! https://twitter.com/NeilLimbrick/status/1199392384632664065

Testimonials from Members & Partners

  • Having an online support group such as the ALPE is a much needed place for the benefit of anyone who's LGBT+ working in education. It gives a space to raise questions, issues and to get guidance from others in a safe, non-judgemental and welcoming environment, all without fear of discrimination or prejudice.
